Epidemiology

The Epidemiology exemplar is currently under development and focuses on creating estimates for various (geo-located) health and lifestyle indicators to assess the burden of disease and its related factors and planning for local health services via statistical modelling techniques. It is targeted at health researchers at all levels of expertise, policy consultants and planners within local health services.

Ageing and Inequality

The "Ageing and Inequality" exemplar involves simulation analyses of the structure of social inequality as a function of long-running changes in socio-economic and socio-demographic distributions. "Social inequality" can refer to lots of different things, but we analyse it through a variety of measures of the distribution of economic assets, such as income and occupational position.
